As a wife and mother myself, I have developed a great understanding of what works in a home from a practical point of view.

My name is Maura Mackey and I’m an interior designer from Cork.

I believe a design needs to compliment functionality in a home. I always bear this in mind when creating a new design for a client. Believe it or not, the choices that you make when deciding how your home will look will have a documented effect on your emotions and perceptions.

I have a qualification in Interior Design /Retail Display/Home Staging. I am also a member of the Network Cork Group and the Home Staging Association.

This, coupled with my passion for interiors made me decide to start my own business Maura Mackey Design.

I am a professional interior designer with an eye for detail & a deep undertanding of practical interior styling. I assist clients with home makeovers or restyling I am experienced in professional home staging of properties for sale or rental markets.

HOME STYLING CONSULTATION IN YOUR HOME

This is an opportunity for me to come to your home and discuss your specific needs. We can have a chat about the area you would like to improve in terms of space, furniture layout, fabrics, lighting and colours.

I have a few different packages available which we can discuss when you contact me.

My packages – vary from simple one hour consultations to full design – Firstly I will give you a summary of our meeting including all recommendations. You can use this information to transform the room yourself or I can source and shop for items for your room, and/or continue to use my services to give you a complete room design from start to finish.

STYLING CONSULTATION IN YOUR BUSINESS

This is where I would meet you at your area of business, go through areas to improve or remodel and then I will give you a recommendation report and advise my services costs for the redesign.

HOME STAGING SERVICES

Preparing your premises for sale or rental can be daunting, I can be your fresh set of eyes that walks into your premises and offer you advice on how to make it ‘attractive’ to your target market. I know what works – I will give you a full detailed report that you can work on yourself or I can offer vacant/occupied home staging services. Home Staging can increase the value of your home from 3-10% of the asking price.
