I set up Maura Mackey Design in Nov’ 19 but I have over 20 years experience in Interiors.

The answer is often not so straight forward as an Interior Designer service varies from project to project. However some clients prefer to manage their own projects and only require a consultation. You may simply need some guidance and advice on the best design solutions for your space. While, on the other hand some clients like help with the full room/home design. A home consultation with a professional Interior Designer will ultimately help you truly unlock your homes potential.

I will explore many different ideas with you in search for the perfect combination of interior design solutions. My aim is to create a living space that feels like ‘home’ to you. When understanding a project, I consider the colours, lighting materials and best use of your space.  This will ensure that your house can look and be the best it can be for you.  Using my interiors services will enhance your home or property. You will be tapping into years of experience and benefit greatly from my contacts within the interiors world. I will meet you in your home/ or virtually so that I can find out about you and your interior design project. Once we have explored your hopes and desires for the space in question we will proceed to the next stage.  We will discuss your room layout and design options to include 

  • Colour schemes/material choices/soft furnishings
  • Fabric choices/window treatments
  • Wallcoverings/Floor coverings
  • Finishing touches and accessories.

I only work with reliable trades and business’s that have the same customer service ethos as myself.

Yes, offering ease and accessibility- virtual consultations are becoming more and more popular. A typical virtual consultation begins with filling out a questionnaire and sending any video clips/photos for that space to the designer. I also ask clients for their wish list for this space and if they have a design style in mind.

Of course, my no. 1 priority is you, it’s your home. I am here to assist you create the look in your home you desire. 

Yes, an Interior Designer must be able to work and communicate effectively with all trades people. I work with trades professionals that I know will deliver on quality, price and satisfaction to the client.

Usually work with moodboards to help the client visualize the design concept I have created for them, If they desire a 3D plan this can be created too but at an extra cost.

Yes I can, provided these furniture pieces tie in with the new look you are trying to create for this space..
